How to test SOA architecture / implementation ? In other words what is SOA Testing ? Does the traditional testing methodlogies, strategies ... still work on SOA testing ? Can the exisitng GUI base functional / performance testing tool be used on SOA Testing ?

Think of testing SOA similar to testing web services ... you will find that SOA testing would gear towards the white box, unit test approach .....?

Take a look at what Parasoft and Itoko have to offer in SOA testing .... even the MS VTS has some answer to it.

What is testing in CMMI ? CMMI address the quality issues by improving the overall development process. Testing is, in a way "hidden" in the process that is no clear guideline on how to do and achieve good testing goal.
Now there a TMM (Test Maturity Model) to fill the gap. I can across an article "Guidelines for Testing Maturity" by a Dutch QA professional Erik Van Veenendaal. Do a nets search, you would be able to find some very good articles on TMM.
